Recipe for Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte
Preparing the pumpkin puree:
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Chop your pumpkin into small pieces and drizzle with olive oil or vegetable oil. Bake for one hour. After it cools down, peel the pumpkin and either blend the flesh in a food processor or mash it with a fork.
Preparing the Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte:
- Mix your pumpkin puree with the spice blend and maple syrup. Heat it in a saucepan, do not allow it to boil.
- Prepare the matcha as usual with water, preferably using a chasen (bamboo whisk) or a milk frother.
- Pour the pumpkin puree into a tall glass and use a spoon to spread it across the bottom. Then add your preferred milk and matcha you prepared before. Try to pour both liquids slowly along the side of the glass, to create a layered effect.
- Enjoy your drink! Itadakimasu!
