Organic honey with Moya Matcha

Eco-friendly honey with matcha is a deliciously original combination of natural EU honey and Moya Matcha Daily. It is a multi-floral honey in which sweetness contrasts with the delicate bitterness of Japanese matcha from the second and third harvest. The honey is perfectly sweet and has a thick texture hardened by matcha. It is great for desserts, sandwiches, toasts, as well as for tea and other infusions, and of course, to be eaten straight from the jar. Our sustainable honey comes in a glass jar with a metal lid and is certified organic, which is confirmed by the green leaf symbol on the packaging.

Organic honey – how is it made?

Our certified organic honey is made from flower pollen that comes from organic farming. This means that no adjuvants such as pesticides and growth regulators are used in the fields. Plants grow in a natural, sustainable way to offer their pollen to honeybees. The production of the honey requires great care and attention because bees usually fly up to 3 kilometres from the hive in search of flowers. The insects must therefore have access to organic plants within that radius. The certification is a proof that this condition has been met.

We are proud of the quality of our green tea and we consider ourselves experts in the field. Quality, colour, taste and price of matcha tea depends on many factors, such as region, rainfall and –primarily – the harvest from which the tea comes from. Matcha from the first harvest is the most delicate one because it is produced from the finest leaves that were exposed to direct sunlight only for a short period of time. Japan puts severe quality norms and the harvest volume is thus limited.

For this reason our matcha is hermetically packed in Japan and sent to us in small batches, 4-5 times a year.
