Recipe for cold brew tea with green tea Moya Kukicha

Preparation time: 2 minutes, brewing time: 4-12 hours

Ingredients for 1 litre of cold brew tea

  • 4 tablespoons of Moya Kukicha (around 20g)
  • 1 litre of filtered or mineral water at room temperature
  • Optional: ice cubes, favourite fruit, chopped (e.g. strawberries, lime), herbs (e.g. mint), sweetener of choice (e.g. honey, syrup) for taste

How to make cold brew tea?

Put the green tea leaves into a 1-litre jug (we highly recommend our Moya Kukicha). Pour water into the jug and stir vigorously. Leave the cold brew in the room temperature for 1-2 hours. After such time, put the cold brew tea into the fridge. The brewing time after putting the brew into the refrigerator is a matter of your preference- if you want your cold brew to have an intense flavour and aroma, you should wait even up to 12 hours. If you, on the other hand, prefer more subtle flavours, it is enough for you to wait 3 hours. Drain the prepared cold brew tea with a sieve or a French press.

Remember: you don’t have to throw away the remaining tea leaves. Our teas are of such a high quality that they can be brewed multiple times. You can now add your favourite fruit or ice cubes for the maximum refreshment. Cold brew tea tastes best when chilled, so serve it when refrigerated.
